HealthActiv is presently looking for an experienced, proactive and dynamic Safety and Health Officer who will be mainly responsible for conducting risk assessments, driving safety initiatives and fostering a healthy work environment.

The job incumbent will be mainly required to:

• Diligently carry out the duties of a Safety and Health Officer as stipulated by OSHA.
• Implement, design/update and monitor safety and health policies, processes and procedures, and ensure compliance with prevailing legislation.
• Conduct risk assessments and/or audits to identify and mitigate operational hazards and risks.
• Lead occupational safety and health initiatives to promote a safe working environment and practices.
• Regularly inspect work sites, identify hazards and initiate corrective actions accordingly.
• Investigate to identify the root causes of accidents or other unsafe working conditions and take actions to address them.
• Facilitate safety and health training sessions, including the development of a toolkit and associated guidelines.

• Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or any equivalent qualification.
• At least 1-2 years of proven experience as a Safety and Health Officer.

• Fully conversant with safety, health and environmental legislations.
• Eligible for registration as Safety and Health Officer under the Occupational Safety and Health Act 2005.
• Holder of a valid driving licence.
• Autonomous and self-motivated.
• Good communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Analytical thinking with a customer-centric approach.
• Highly organized and efficient in time management.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving environment and in close collaboration with employees at all levels.
